Operational outcomes

What this changes for the team.

See how this part of UnionStack helps your team organize the work and follow through.

Effective obligations and schedules

Publish independently reviewed employer/unit arrangements, retained evidence, aliases, reporting cadences and report/payment deadlines. Track occurrences, nil declarations and typed exceptions.

Explain expected dues and rate changes

Use reviewed flat, percentage or hourly CAD formulas, effective dates, component exceptions, leave facts and tolerance. Preview old/new rates and prepare reviewed rate-change notices.

Follow missing reports and coverage gaps

Prioritize missing or late remittances, unresolved receipts and incomplete submissions. Assign or snooze follow-up and retain evidence of late completion.

Separate postings, cash and standing

Keep immutable dues postings, corrections and cash settlements. Review expected withholding separately from employer cash and member standing; missing evidence remains unknown rather than becoming member debt.

Distribute with reviewed rules

Prepare independently approved local and national aggregate attribution statements from posted ledger evidence, with linked correction revisions. Attribution does not claim a payment.

Control accounting periods and year-end

Release balanced journal CSVs under reviewed account mappings, record external import outcomes and close periods. Reconcile year-end controls before separately approving and issuing policy-authorized statements or receipts.

Review the full rate-change impact

Run a complete affected-population impact preview before independent publication. Unposted work returns for recalculation; posted history produces review candidates rather than automatic financial corrections.

Connected workflow

Follow the work through its record.

The exact configuration varies by tenant, but the accountable sequence remains visible.

01

Configure obligations

Independently publish arrangements, schedules, rates and required policies.

02

Review the evidence

Check submission completeness, expected dues and exceptions before posting.

03

Reconcile and retain

Record money received separately, resolve follow-up and preserve accounting and year-end decisions.

Try a complete workflow

Explain a reported deduction and a partial payment.

Demonstration scenario · Fictional records

Use a fictional employer submission with one corrected deduction and a payment that covers only part of the reported amount. Ask Finance to explain each difference from its source evidence before relying on a summary balance.

  1. Review the reported obligation

Check the arrangement, reporting period, applicable rate and source rows. Resolve exceptions through the authorized review path and retain the posting and correction history.

  2. Reconcile received money separately

Identify the bank or receipt evidence and the amount allocated to posted deductions. Leave the unmatched portion visible. An employer-reported deduction does not establish that the union received the corresponding cash.

  3. Check the audience’s explanation

Compare the staff review, the delegated employer statement and the eligible member’s check-off history. Verify coverage and standing policy requirements without turning missing evidence into personal debt.

Evidence to review together

  • Finance can trace the correction without overwriting the original posting.
  • Reported deductions, received money and allocations remain distinguishable.
  • Accounting and year-end outputs are reviewed within their documented scope.

Boundaries

What evaluators should keep in view.

  • Published policies, effective dates, independent approvals and current source access govern each financial action.
  • Accounting exports use a neutral CSV adapter and manual acknowledgement. Year-end issuance does not include automatic member or employer delivery.
  • The dues position view shows current-restated CAD evidence and coverage uncertainty; it does not establish recognized revenue or allocate unassigned cash.
  • Expected-dues calculations require authoritative pay-period and pay-run identities. Unsupported or incomplete runs remain indeterminate rather than becoming an invented expected amount.
