Email & communications

Union communications connected to the work they support.

Connect approved Microsoft, Google or IMAP/SMTP mailboxes, work with threads and attachments, and relate conversations to the union work they advance.

What this changes for the team.

Context that survives hand-offs

Authorized staff can find the conversation from the case or record it belongs to.

Reliable delivery work

Queue outbound messages through retryable processing rather than tying delivery to one browser request.

Consent-aware outreach

Map approved people and organization classifications to Mailchimp audiences when that integration is configured.

Reviewed audiences and bilingual messages

Build email campaigns from saved People segments, preview deduplicated recipients and obtain independent approval. Publish reviewed English/French templates with explicit fallback.

Operational SMS and scheduled notices

Send supported Canadian operational texts with consent, quiet hours and opt-out handling. Configure approved Finance and Event email triggers, inspect transport results and review failed-recipient follow-up.

Connected workflow

Follow the work through its record.

The exact configuration varies by tenant, but the accountable sequence remains visible.

01

Connect

Authorize a provider or configure approved IMAP/SMTP details.

02

Receive and match

Poll messages, preserve threads and match known addresses.

03

Relate

Connect conversations and attachments to cases and other records.

04

Respond

Compose within permission scope and dispatch through the outbox.

Put it to the test

A meaningful demonstration starts here.

An operational message needs a defined purpose and audience before translation or sending. UnionStack supports governed English/French correspondence in its supported workflows. A website language selector is separate from the recipient-language evidence used by the operational messaging process.

Questions to answer in the product

  • Can staff show the exact audience snapshot, approved wording and language decision for an email?
  • Can the reviewer distinguish acceptance, confirmed delivery and failed-message follow-up?

Boundaries

What evaluators should keep in view.

  • Microsoft, Google, IMAP/SMTP and Mailchimp each require their provider configuration.
  • Mailbox access and message visibility follow application permissions.
  • SMS requires a verified provider and messaging policy. Scheduled, queued, delivered and acknowledged are distinct states; dynamic SMS audiences are not included.
