Build a steward training record that survives a program change

Connect course versions, offerings, attendance, outcomes and program progress without confusing them with appointment.

A training program needs to explain which requirements applied when the member enrolled and which evidence satisfies them. Attendance at an event, completing a course and holding an officer role are different facts. Preserve each fact under its proper owner.

Step 01

Publish the relevant course version

Prepare the supported bilingual course definition, prerequisites and attendance-based completion criteria. Publish the reviewed version before using it for an offering. When requirements change, retain the earlier version rather than rewriting the meaning of past completion evidence.

Step 02

Record the actual learning outcome

Use offerings and cohorts to organize delivery. Reconcile participant attendance with the recorded outcome; presence alone may not satisfy the completion definition. Review certificates and any equivalency or exception through the permitted evidence path, with a reason and accountable reviewer.

Step 03

Review progress against the enrolled program

Inspect the member’s versioned program enrollment and the evidence accepted for its requirements. Explain incomplete or exception-based progress rather than treating all members alike. Training completion does not appoint an officer, issue a separate People credential or automatically register an event participant.
