Communications

Connect Outlook or Gmail to union casework

Plan mailbox ownership, permissions and hand-offs so operational email remains part of the lasting record.

Begin with ownership

Before connecting a mailbox, decide who authorizes it, which teams may use it, what work it supports and how access will change when responsibilities move.

Use a controlled test identity. Provider consent completed under the wrong active account is a configuration failure even when the technical flow succeeds.

Test message fidelity and context

Retrieve a multi-message thread with a harmless attachment, confirm participant and sender information, then relate it to a fictional case.

  • Verify inbound and outbound paths separately.
  • Confirm the recipient sees the intended sender.
  • Open the thread from the connected case as another authorized user.
  • Exercise an expired authorization or delivery failure.

Keep one authoritative conversation

Relating an email should not require copying its body and attachments into a note. The conversation remains the communication record; the case supplies its procedural context.

UnionStack supports configured Microsoft, Google and IMAP/SMTP connections. Each provider requires approved credentials and operational configuration.
